AC Connect Pro — QA Test Guide

This guide walks you through testing every major flow in the platform. You'll test as three roles: Admin, Customer, and Contractor (Professional). Work through each section in order.

01

Test Login Accounts

Three accounts have been set up. The Admin account already has a password. The Customer and Contractor accounts were sent email invitations — check the inbox (or use the "Forgot Password" flow) to set a password before testing.

Note: The Customer and Contractor accounts need their marketplace_role set after first login. When you log in as Customer, it defaults to "customer". For Contractor, register via the Professional sign-up page and select "Contractor" — this auto-creates their installer profile with 100 test credits.

Expected: Side-by-side comparison of price, turnaround, warranty. Can accept a quote.

6

Message a Contractor

Go to Messages. Select a conversation. Send a message.

Expected: Message sends and appears in the chat thread.

Pass = works as expected Fail = bug found, report it
04

Contractor Flow Tests

Log in as qa.contractor@acconnectpro.com for these tests. This account has 100 test credits pre-loaded.

1

Browse the Leads Board

Go to Leads & Quotes. Browse available leads. Use the search bar, category filter, and postcode filter.

Expected: Leads appear with title, category, budget, and location. Contact details are locked (blurred) until unlocked.

2

Unlock a Lead (Spend Credits)

Click "Unlock" on any lead. Confirm the credit spend (typically 20–30 credits).

Expected: Contact details (name, email, phone) become visible. Credit balance decreases. The unlock appears in the dashboard credit history.

3

Submit a Quote

After unlocking a lead, fill in the quote form: price, turnaround days, warranty years, message. Submit.

Expected: Quote appears on My Bids with status "Submitted". The customer sees the quote on their My Requests page.

4

Buy More Credits

Go to Dashboard → click "Buy Credits". Select a credit pack (20/50/100). Click "Purchase".

Expected: Redirects to Base44 Payments checkout. After payment, credits are added to the balance. Note: In sandbox/test mode, use a test card if available.

5

Set Up Auto Top-Up

In the Buy Credits modal, toggle "Auto top-up" on. Set a threshold (e.g., 10 credits) and select a pack.

Expected: Setting saves. When credits drop below the threshold, a pack is auto-purchased.

6

List a Product for Sale

Go to My Listings → click "Add Product". Fill in brand, model, price, category, description, image URL. Save.

Expected: Product appears in the marketplace and in My Listings.

7

Export Lead & Message History

Go to Dashboard → click "Export History". Download the CSV for leads unlocked and messages sent.

Expected: CSV file downloads with the correct data.

Pass = works as expected Fail = bug found, report it
05

Admin Flow Tests

Log in as info@ukgasplumbers.com for these tests.

1

View Platform Dashboard

Go to Dashboard. Check the marketplace performance charts, credit purchase trends, and job status breakdown.

Expected: Charts render with real data. KPI cards show correct counts.

2

Manage Contractors

Go to Contractors. View all contractor profiles. Edit credit balances if needed.

Expected: All installer records appear. Can edit credits and availability.

3

View All Leads & Quotes

Go to Leads & Quotes. All leads from all customers are visible. Can assign leads, update statuses.

Expected: Full visibility of all jobs and quotes across the platform.

4

Manage Catalogue

Go to Catalogue. Add, edit, or remove products. Check that product images load correctly.

Expected: Products CRUD works. Images display (report any broken images — ~1.3% of catalog has known 404s).

Pass = works as expected Fail = bug found, report it
06

Public Page Tests (No Login Needed)

1

Landing Page

Visit Home. Check the hero, features, how-it-works, stats, and CTA sections render correctly on mobile and desktop.

2

Marketplace

Visit Marketplace. Check category bar, product grid, search, and filters. Click into a product detail page.

3

Services

Visit Services. Check the service category pages render with correct content.

4

Mobile Responsive Check

Resize the browser to mobile width (430px). Check that all pages reflow correctly — no horizontal scroll, no overlapping text, navigation menu works.

Pass = works as expected Fail = bug found, report it
07

Known Issues (Not Bugs)

Email to non-registered users: The notify-professionals and send-lead-email functions may fail in sandbox because a custom domain is required. This is expected until the app is published with a custom domain.

Broken product images: ~1.3% of the 469-product catalog has broken image URLs from external manufacturer sites. These show "NO IMAGE AVAILABLE" placeholders — this is a data issue, not a code bug.

Credit pack purchases: Real card transactions require a live published site. In the builder preview, the checkout flow redirects to Base44 Payments but test transactions may not complete.

08

How to Report Bugs

When you find a bug, report it with:

  1. Role: Which account were you logged in as?
  2. Page: Which page/URL were you on?
  3. Action: What did you click or type?
  4. Expected: What should have happened?
  5. Actual: What actually happened? (include any error message)
  6. Device: Mobile or desktop? Browser?
  7. Screenshot: If possible, attach a screenshot
